Custom Valances
Valances are no-fuss top treatments that give your window instant dimension and depth: They give windows height, making your room seem larger. Rectangular valances emphasize the straight lines of your room, while curved and arched valances reshape your windows into specialty shapes without the hassle of reframing your windows.
Valances can be straight-edged for a modern look or scalloped and curtain-like for a more traditional setting. They fashionably conceal hardware and give your room formality and can be used in conjunction with your current window treatments, your drapes, or even on their own. Because valances only reach the tops of your windows, they are more cost-effective than other top treatments, and their lack of cords make them family-friendly additions to your windows.

Hunter Douglas Design Studio™ Side Panels and Drapery are specially made to complement your Hunter Douglas window treatments. Pair Design Studio™ Drapery with roller shades, blinds, and sheers for an extra layer of light control and privacy. Drapery adds fullness to your windows by layering them with its long, luxurious folds. Custom drapes from Hunter Douglas feature exclusive fabrics, including simple solids, attention-drawing textures, and striking patterns. Fabric is styled in a two-finger pinch pleat, two-finger European pinch pleat and grommet for side panels and a two-finger pinch pleat, two-finger European pinch pleat and ripplefold for drapery.

Inspired by period pieces, Marcie Bronkar draws upon the patterns that enthralled history. She used period designs and made them new by putting a fresh, modern twist on designs taken from Mexican pottery pieces, 17th century Venetian garments, and classic English Jacobean embroidery.
Seema Krish
Seema Krish credits the vibrant colors, textures, and patterns she’s experienced from her travels around the world to create her Hunter Douglas collection. She created her designs with the wish to connect homeowners to the larger world, using Japanese and Indonesian dyeing techniques to create soft, alluring patterns that evoke a sense of unity.
